Education is the Key, Free Education thru age 21!

How many studies do we have to see to understand the benefits of post secondary education. Higher incomes, greater technological advancements, lower birth rates, higher standard of living, lower smoking rates, better physical fitness, lower teenage pregnancies, more individual businesses, more job opportunities, this list goes on and on.

We should develop a government / business structure that allows every person to have a 4 year college degree or trade school or apprentice program be available at no cost to the student. Advanced degrees helpful to medical advances and care should be paid for as well. The current excessive costs of this education is a negative incentive to achieve all of the named benefits. Frankly, this is a no-brainer.

Education needs to be life focused. Millions of kids graduate high school with classes in algebra, but have no idea how to balance their check, check their bank balance online or how to apply for a mortgage. Again, this is a no brainer.

Businesses Creates Jobs, not Government

With the economic downturn getting more severe, government is getting it wrong. They should be helping businesses grow with incentives like tax reductions with some protections to assist core industries in the US and North America. By 2011, inflationary pressures are going to enormous with the spending and printing of money. This will destroy the savings of the baby boomer generation just when they are ready to access these funds.

We are creating mini 3rd world governments in our major cities, with these city governments promising more welfare programs and benefits, rather than creating economic zones. Democrats have held strangleholds in these fiefdoms for decades while the cities have continue to decline. Only those cities with thriving business have thriving downtown communities.

People love government, because they can hold someone accountable, whom "they" can replace. What we need to do is create a capital structure for each person to become a business person for themselves. Micro lending to create and promote self reliance, hard work and the economic reward of their efforts.
